How do you decide on glassware for your party?
When serving wine, you should have two sizes of wine glasses. A large glass for red wine (the larger the better) allows you to pour about one-third full and the rest of the bowl will permit aeration of the wine.
A smaller wine glass is used for white wine so as to not allow the wine to warm up too much before it is consumed.
For your own personal use or to use during a dinner party, you might want to select larger glasses that accommodate larger pours and don't have to be refilled as often. For a large party, event, or wine tasting party, small inexpensive glasses might be better. They will allow for smaller pours and less tipsy guests.
You might also want to consider glassware that can be cleaned in the dishwasher instead of by hand to speed up after party cleanup.
